What is Spiritual death in the Bible?
Spiritual death is a separation from God and not an end of life. It is a punishment for the sin committed by Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden. The consequences were that Man lost his spiritual connection to God.
However, there is a way back to God for all those who believe in Him and in His son Jesus Christ, who made this possible by sacrificing Himself on the cross. Because Jesus died and rose from the dead, we can also live spiritually resurrected lives!
What happens when someone dies according to the Bible?
The Bible tells us that when someone dies their body returns to the ground while their spirit returns to God. Also, when someone dies they are no longer remembered because there is no one left living who will remember them.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 KJV “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 9:5 “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.“
