80 Powerful Bible Verses About Salvation With Quotes

In this post, we will be looking at some Bible verses about salvation, what the Bible says about salvation through works. Before we proceed, lets look at what the word Salvation means.

What is Salvation?

The word salvation is used in the context of religions to describe the process of being saved from an undesired situation or condition, usually from some form of evil. It is also often synonymous with “deliverance” from sin and guilt. Salvation can be seen as a form of freedom to be saved from eternal damnation.

The word “salvation” comes from the Latin word salvatio, meaning “safe”. In Christianity, one’s faith in God is essential for attaining salvation. Jesus Christ shed his blood and died on the cross for humanity’s sins in order to release us from our guilt and shame through an act of grace by God.

Are you Born Again?

As you read this, a great question faces you – Are you born again?. Being born again is not how many times you have attended church services, or given to charity. However, your answer to this question will determine where you will spend eternity. The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27 (KJV) – “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”. The question now is, have you been born again?

Why is being Born Again important?

According to the book of John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.”

Acts 2:38-39 reads, “And Peter said to them, Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children, and all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.”

There are many people in life who trust in good works. They often say, “I’m a good person, I care for everyone in need”. Please remember that, salvation does not come through works.

In Ephesians 1:8-9 it reads, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.”

You may be a Church goer, be an officer or even an active member of a Church. You may be striving to live a perfect life and attain a high moral standard. Yet, if you have not been born of the water and of the Spirit, the Bible say, you cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

So therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling – Philippians 2:12.

How To Be Saved From Hell & Go To Heaven When You Die?

The Bible says that when we die, our soul will go either to Heaven or Hell. But what does this really mean? How can you be saved from Hell and go to Heaven when you die?

The Holy Bible is the only reliable source of information about what happens after we die. It tells us that we will either go to Heaven (the place of eternal life and perfect happiness) or Hell (the place of eternal suffering and misery).

We can be saved from Hell and enter into the everlasting joy of Heaven by believing in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Jesus died on the cross, taking all our sins and nailing it on the Cross, so that we could have a relationship with God (our Heavenly Father) and escape the eternal punishment for sin (Hell).
