1. Failed siege of Jerusalem

"Therefore this is what the Lord says concerning the king of Assyria: 'He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with a shield or build a siege ramp against it. By the way that he came he will return; he will not enter this city,' declares the Lord." - 2 Kings 19:32-33

This prophecy was fulfilled when an angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night (2 Kings 19:35).

2. The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

"And the Lord said, 'Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, I will know.'" - Genesis 18:20-21

This prophecy was fulfilled when the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone (Genesis 19:24-25).

3. The birth of Isaac

"Then God said, “Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.'" - Genesis 17:19

This prophecy was fulfilled when Isaac was born to Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 21:1-2).

This prophecy was fulfilled when the walls of Jericho fell and the Israelites conquered the city and spared Rahab and her family that where in the house (Joshua 6:20-21).

"For I will take you back to the land I gave your ancestors, and you will possess it again. I will be kind to you, and I will make you a great nation." - Jeremiah 30:3

This was fulfilled when the nation of Israel was restored after the seventy years of captivity (Ezra 1:1-11).

1. The Messiah would be born of a virgin

"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." - Isaiah 7:14

This prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-25).

2. The Messiah would be a descendant of Isaac

"But I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed," - Genesis 21:12

This was fulfilled when Jesus Christ, who was a descendant of Isaac, died on the cross and rose again, thus becoming a Savior for all who believe in Him (Matthew 1:1-17, Luke 3:23-38).

3. The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem

"But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days." - Micah 5:2

This was fulfilled when Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1-12).

"A voice cries: 'In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 5. The Messiah would be rejected by His own people

"He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not." - Isaiah 53:3

This was fulfilled when the people of Israel rejected Jesus as their Messiah (Matthew 27:1-66, John 1:11).

6. The Messiah would be betrayed by a friend

"Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me." - Psalm 41:9

This was fulfilled when Judas, one of Jesus’ disciples, betrayed Him for 30 pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14-16, 47-56, Luke 22:1-6, 46-53, John 13:1-30, 18:1-11).

7. The Messiah would be silent before His accusers

"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth." - Isaiah 53:7

This was fulfilled when Jesus was silent before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who sentenced Him to death (Matthew 27:11-14, Mark 15:2-5, Luke 23:1-7, John 18:28-38).

"I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard; I hid not my face from disgrace and spitting." - Isaiah 50:6

10. The Messiah would be buried in a rich man’s tomb

This was fulfilled when Jesus was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy man (Matthew 27:57-60, Mark 15:42-47, Luke 23:50-56).
